A quick and easy summer drink that balances the bright freshness of watermelon with cool mint and a hint of lime and sweetness. Perfect for hot days and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seeds removed
  • 10 to 12 fresh mint leaves, gently rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 large lime)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sweetener (agave syrup, honey, or simple syrup), adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes, as needed for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut the watermelon into roughly 1-inch cubes, removing as many seeds as possible (about 4 cups).
  2. Place the watermelon cubes and mint leaves into a blender. Pulse gently for about 30 seconds to release the mint flavor without bitterness, then blend on high for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice and 1 tablespoon sweetener to the blender. Blend for 10 seconds to combine. Taste and add more sweetener if needed.
  4. Pour the watermelon mixture into a large pitcher. Add 2 cups cold water and stir gently to combine.
  5. Add ice cubes to the pitcher or glasses and serve immediately. For colder drink, refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for best flavor. Avoid over-blending mint to prevent bitterness. Straining is optional for smoother texture. Adjust sweetener to taste. Frozen watermelon cubes can be used if fresh is unavailable, blending longer. Serve immediately or within 24 hours for best mint flavor.
