Fresh Mango Lemonade

fresh mango lemonade recipe - featured image

A quick and easy homemade summer drink combining ripe mangoes and fresh lemons for a refreshing, naturally sweet and tangy beverage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 3 medium fresh lemons, juiced
  • 3 cups cold water (or 2 cups water and 1 cup sparkling water for a fizzy twist)
  • 23 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop 2 large ripe mangoes into chunks.
  2. Place the mango chunks in a blender with 1 cup (8 fl oz) of cold water. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Juice 3 medium lemons to get about 1/2 cup (4 fl oz) of juice, removing seeds.
  4. Pour the mango puree into a large pitcher. Add the lemon juice, remaining 2 cups (16 fl oz) cold water, and honey or agave syrup. Stir vigorously to combine and adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Add ice cubes to the pitcher or individual glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for best flavor; frozen mango can be used if thawed slightly. Adjust sweetness with honey or agave syrup. For sparkling lemonade, replace 1 cup water with sparkling water just before serving. Strain lemon juice to remove seeds and pulp if desired. Store leftovers in the refrigerator up to 2 days; avoid freezing.
