Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup diced watermelon (seedless if possible)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint (optional)
  • 1 bag kettle-cooked potato chips
  • 1 cup mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Plastic or paper plates and cups
  • Napkins (red, white, or blue)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spicy Greek Yogurt Dip: In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup plain Greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon hot sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. Stir well until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate while you prep the rest.
  2. Make the Fresh Fruit Salad: Wash and hull the strawberries, then quarter them. Dice the watermelon into bite-sized cubes. In a large bowl, gently toss the strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon chopped mint. Toss lightly to combine flavors without bruising the fruit. Cover and chill in the fridge.
  3. Assemble the Red, White & Blue Snack Platter: On a serving plate or disposable tray, arrange the kettle-cooked potato chips, mini mozzarella balls, and cherry tomatoes in separate sections. Garnish the mozzarella and tomatoes with fresh basil leaves.
  4. Final Touches: Set out the spicy Greek yogurt dip in a small bowl alongside the chip section of your platter. Arrange napkins, plates, and utensils for easy access. Optionally, add small toothpicks with red, white, and blue flags or toppers in the fruit salad or mozzarella balls.
  5. Enjoy your party spread with friends!

Notes

Prep the fruit salad the night before and keep chilled. Drain excess liquid before serving to avoid soggy bites. The dip can be made fresh or refrigerated for a couple of hours. Keep chips in a resealable bag to maintain crunch. Use fresh herbs like basil or mint to add freshness. For vegan option, substitute Greek yogurt with dairy-free coconut yogurt and omit mozzarella.
