Easy Orange Halloween Fruit Skewers

Easy Orange Halloween Fruit Skewers - featured image

A fun, no-cook Halloween snack featuring orange segments, marshmallows, and olives threaded onto bamboo skewers to create spooky monster faces. Perfect for parties and kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 medium Navel oranges
  • Large marshmallows (white or orange)
  • Small black olives or olive slices
  • 10-inch bamboo skewers
  • Water (for soaking skewers, optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the oranges thoroughly under cold water and slice off the top and bottom to create a flat base.
  2. Using a paring knife, carefully cut down the sides of the orange to remove the peel and white pith, keeping segments as whole as possible.
  3. Gently separate the orange segments into crescent-shaped pieces.
  4. Thread two orange segments onto a bamboo skewer to form the body/shoulders.
  5. Push a large marshmallow onto the skewer above the orange segments to serve as the head or ears.
  6. Thread a black olive onto the skewer below the marshmallow or in the center of the orange to create eyes or a nose.
  7. Optionally add one more orange segment at the top for extra body mass or a hat.
  8. Arrange skewers on a platter and serve chilled.

Notes

Use firm oranges to prevent segments from falling apart. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes to prevent splintering. Keep skewers chilled until serving to maintain texture and prevent oxidation. Marshmallows may soften if stored for more than 24 hours.
