A quick, no-bake holiday dessert made with cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar, shaped into a festive tree and decorated with sprinkles. Perfect for parties and last-minute cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz full-fat brick-style cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 12–15 sugar cookies for dipping
  • Red sprinkles (jimmies or nonpareils) for decoration

Instructions

  1. Take cream cheese and butter out of the fridge and let them sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until soft and pliable.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together using an electric hand mixer on medium speed until completely combined and smooth (about 2-3 minutes). Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  3. Sift the powdered sugar into the bowl in two batches. Mix on low speed until incorporated, then increase to medium speed and beat for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture is light, fluffy, and smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract with a spatula. Taste and adjust if desired.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a large, flat serving plate. Use a spatula to shape the dip into a cone or tree shape, starting with a wide base and tapering to a point at the top.
  6. While the dip is still soft, press red sprinkles onto the sides for decoration.
  7. Place the plate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set and firm up.
  8. Arrange sugar cookies around the base of the tree and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese and butter are fully softened to avoid lumps. Sift powdered sugar for a smooth texture. Shape the tree while the mixture is soft, as it becomes harder to manipulate after chilling. Do not freeze this dip as the texture may become grainy upon thawing.
