These easy apple nachos with peanut butter drizzle are a quick, healthy-ish dessert ready in 15 minutes. Crisp apple slices are fanned out and topped with a warm, creamy peanut butter drizzle, chocolate chips, nuts, and a sprinkle of sea salt for an irresistible sweet and salty treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds or chia seeds (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt for finishing

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Cut in half through the stem, remove core, and slice into thin rounds about 1/4-inch thick. Toss slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Fan the apple slices out on a serving platter in a single layer, overlapping slightly.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine peanut butter, coconut oil, honey, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir constantly until smooth and pourable, about 2-3 minutes. Alternatively, microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 30 seconds. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture generously over the apple slices in a zigzag pattern.
  5. While the drizzle is still warm, sprinkle chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, shredded coconut, and hemp seeds evenly over the top.
  6. Finish with a small pinch of flaky sea salt.
  7. Serve immediately while apples are cold and crisp and drizzle is warm and gooey.

Notes

Best served immediately. Apples will brown and soften after 30 minutes. For make-ahead, slice apples and toss with lemon juice up to 2 hours ahead; keep refrigerated. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours; reheat in microwave for 10-15 seconds.
