A quick and easy snack combining spicy buffalo chicken dip with fresh jalapeños, air fried to crispy perfection. Perfect for game days, parties, or anytime you crave a creamy, crunchy bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh medium-sized jalapeños
  • 1 cup (240g) shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie recommended)
  • 4 ounces (115g) softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup (120ml) buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • ½ cup (56g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil for air fryer basket

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry jalapeños. Slice each in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes using a small spoon or knife. Wear gloves to avoid irritation.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch or blue cheese dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika if using. Mix until creamy and well blended.
  3. Using a spoon or small scoop, fill each jalapeño half generously with the buffalo chicken dip mixture without overfilling.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with oil. Place stuffed jalapeños in a single layer, skin side down, ensuring they don’t touch.
  6. Cook for 12-15 minutes until jalapeños are tender and filling is bubbly and slightly browned. Flip halfway through if your air fryer requires it.
  7. Let poppers cool for 2 minutes before serving. Serve with extra ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired.

Notes

Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation. Preheat the air fryer for best crispness. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even cooking. Flip poppers halfway if your air fryer cooks unevenly. Adjust spice level by removing more or fewer seeds. If filling is too runny, add more shredded cheese or chill before stuffing.
