A football-shaped charcuterie board with soft pretzels, warm cheese dip, and a variety of meats and cheeses. Perfect for game day gatherings, this board is built for dipping and feeding a crowd with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen soft pretzels (68 pretzels)
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz sliced salami (Genoa salami)
  • 6 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese block
  • 6 oz Gouda cheese (smoked Gouda)
  • 1 cup mixed olives (Castelvetrano and Kalamata)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • ½ cup whole grain mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
  • Edible flowers for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange frozen pretzels on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake according to package directions (8-10 minutes) until golden brown and puffed. Brush warm pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. While pretzels bake, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, milk, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, and a pinch of salt in a small saucepan. Warm over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth (5-7 minutes). Taste and adjust seasoning. Transfer to a small slow cooker or fondue pot set to warm.
  3. Fold salami slices into loose roses: fold each slice in half, then roll up from one end. Tear prosciutto into bite-sized ribbons. Cut cheddar block into cubes and thin slices. Slice Gouda into thin triangles or small wedges.
  4. Place small bowls on the board for olives, mustard, and honey. Position the warm cheese dip pot in the center or off to one side. Arrange pretzels around the bowls, creating lanes and clusters. Fill gaps with salami roses, prosciutto ribbons, cheese cubes, and cherry tomatoes. Scatter olives around. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs for color.
  5. Drizzle honey over Gouda wedges. Sprinkle extra sea salt over pretzels. Add edible flowers if desired. Serve immediately with small plates and napkins.

Notes

For best results, bake pretzels fresh and serve immediately. Cheese dip can be made ahead and reheated. Avoid overcrowding the board; leave space for easy grabbing. Warm cheese dip slowly to prevent graininess.
