Best Friendsgiving Charcuterie Board with Fig Jam - featured image

A curated, stress-free charcuterie board featuring a balance of sharp cheddar, soft brie, cured meats, fresh fruit, and fig jam. Perfect for autumn gatherings and Friendsgiving.

Ingredients

  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (block form, cut into cubes or slices)
  • Soft Brie or Camembert (wheel, room temperature)
  • Blue Cheese Crumbles (optional)
  • Prosciutto or Parma Ham (thinly sliced)
  • Salami or Sopressata (sliced thickly or quartered)
  • Fig Jam (high-quality with visible fruit pieces)
  • Mixed Nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds, toasted)
  • Crackers (water crackers, sesame seed crackers, or cheese straws)
  • Fresh Fruit (grapes, sliced pears, apple slices)

Instructions

  1. Take cheeses out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving to bring to room temperature.
  2. Cut the cheddar into cubes or thin triangles and the brie into wedges, leaving the rind intact. Place these on the board first, spacing them out evenly.
  3. Arrange crackers on the board by stacking them in small piles or fanning them out, leaving space between the cheese ‘islands’.
  4. Fold prosciutto into loose rosettes or nests and tuck them into empty spaces between cheese and crackers. Roll salami into cigars or lay flat to add volume.
  5. Spoon fig jam into small bowls or ramekins and place them strategically on the board, preferably near the center or soft cheese.
  6. Sprinkle toasted nuts into any remaining gaps on the board.
  7. Slice pears and apples (keep skin on for color) and arrange them near the fig jam and cheeses. Scatter grapes loosely around the board.
  8. Add fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme sprigs for garnish if desired. Step back to check balance and adjust as needed.

Notes

Ensure cheese is at room temperature for best flavor. Avoid overcrowding the board; leave empty space for visual appeal. Slice fruit just before serving to prevent browning. If making ahead, keep cheese covered in fridge until 30 minutes before serving.
